Namesilo are the registrar for a large number of domains being used to host fraudulent LEGO websites. These websites are advertising discount LEGO using compromised Facebook accounts. They appear to be conducting credit card fraud.
Namesilo have been repeatedly told about these sites and whilst they have eventually suspended some of the domains, they refuse to take action against others which are pointing to identical web sites.
Namesilo require that all reports are made via an online form and any emails sent to their published abuse@ email address are ignored or receive a boiler plate response telling you to use the form.
Some reports made via the form have mysteriously disappeared and Namesilo claim that they cannot find them. They refuse to investigate this or to do anything about domains which they have been repeatedly informed of via email. They seem to enjoy being obstructive and unhelpful.
Namesilo have also done nothing to proactively investigate all of these linked domains, identify other domains, or close down the account(s) which are constantly registering new domains expressly for the purpose of fraud.
Essentially, as long as they get paid, Namesilo don't care and are happy to permit fraud. Presumably this is why they appear to be the registrar of choice for fraudsters.
Edit: After first trying and failing to get TrustPilot to remove the review claiming that it wasn't a "genuine experience", NameSilo eventually left a disingenuous reply.
Whilst NameSilo may not be the host (the real host is hidden behind Cloudflare, who also do absolutely nothing with any reports of sites engaging in fraudulent activity), NameSilo are still responsible for enabling fraud on a large scale. NameSilo know that these domains are being registered through themselves and NameSilo don't even do the bare minimum of taking them down when they are reported, let alone taking steps to prevent further domains being registered by the same organised group.
The NameSilo abuse email address is an auto reply telling you to use an online form, and reports using the online form are systematically ignored.
Since submitting the original review I have found dozens more domains engaging in this same campaign of fraudulent LEGO web sites. Every single one of these domains has been registered through NameSilo, because the criminal group responsible know that NameSilo are happy to take their money and protect them.
NameSilo have done nothing to remove any of these domains.
Contrary to NameSilo's inaccurate reply, extensive evidence has been submitted in each case including screenshots of and links to the fraudulent adverts on Facebook (mostly using compromised Facebook accounts which clearly have nothing to do with LEGO or toys) and screenshots of the identical web sites on each of these domains.
After extensive back and forth with their "support" team who tried to avoid their responsibility at every turn, NameSilo eventually begrudgingly suspended some of these domains, however there are many more running exactly the same scam websites which they have done nothing with.
In summary, NameSilo are attempting to save face by inaccurately claiming both that this isn't their responsibility (it is) and that they will do something if evidence is submitted (it already has been).
In reality, NameSilo will do nothing, because they directly profit from enabling large scale fraud.
